The Fieri Providence Rhode Island chapter is sponsoring two scholarships to students who are dealing with or have dealt with cancer. One award will be given to a RI high school senior; the other will go to a RI university student. Each will receive a $500 monetary prize.

Maria Rosaria Codano was the sister of Armando Bisceglia, Fieri Providence’s vice-president. Rosaria became a middle school teacher in a high crime district of Naples, Italy. She however felt that she could reach those troubled children and help them see the beauty of life as she saw it. Rosaria felt that education and family closeness were the keys to a successful and fulfilled life.  Read her full story.
